I’m Quiting
Filed Under AnnouncementsI regret to inform everyone that I will no longer be a software engineer.
For a long time, this industry has annoyed the hell out of me with its’ hard problems and theoretical solutions. Its’ crazy managers and its’ unsocial developers. Its’ caveman tools and out-dated practices.
Next week I will be leaving for Japan to train as a sushi chef where I will no longer have to think about fucking abstraction.
Good bye internet, I will not miss you.

While you’re there anyway, get also trained on the fugu fish preparation. π If after today, you change your mind you can still serve some poisonous fish to the crazy managers and unsocial developers :-p
You should probably spell “quitting” correctly in your April Fool’s post! π
Good luck with all that mercury. I think the Internet might actually be less harmful to your health. Why not garbage collector or the lice inspector at the local county jail?
@Chad –
ROFL, hahahaha – lice inspector…that’s a good one…
“Itsβ caveman tools and out-dated practices.” What do you think sushi chefs use?
@Mitch –
Ginsu knives are a technological achievement.
I always figured you to be more of a sushi chef then a developer anyhow.
Bad timing! Mercury levels have skyrocketed and the fishing industry has been banned for at least 7 years. There are openings in the fair trade, organic, cruelty-free soybean hydroponics industry.
I sure wish this was an April Fools day joke.
I kept thinking that it’s only a matter of time until this train wreck comes to an end.
You wish this was NOT an April Fools day joke
